01 · Who we are

AXK Shield is the mobile app for crop and agricultural insurance beneficiaries (policyholders). If you have insured a crop through the AXK network, AXK Shield lets you view your cover, file insurance claims, attach evidence, and track claim and payout status. The app is invite-only and intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is operated by Rovify Inc.

The app connects to the AXK backend at https://app.axk.org over an encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connection.

02 · What this app does and does not do with money

AXK Shield shows you the monetary details of your insurance — your coverage amount, premium, the amount you claim, the amount approved, and any payout — and lets you submit claim amounts. The app does not itself process payments or move money. Your insurer reviews, decides, and pays claims through a separate back-office system. AXK Shield collects and transmits your financial claim and policy information so that your insurer can act on it.

03 · Information we collect

We collect only what the app needs to identify your cover, let you file and track claims, and keep you informed.

Identity and contact information

• Your name and email address (your email is your login).
• Your phone number, where provided.
• Beneficiary details associated with your cover (for example your insurer or cooperative / institution).
• An optional profile photo, if you choose to set one.

Insurance and financial information

• Your policy details: coverage amount, premium, currency, coverage dates, policy and risk status.
• Your claim and payout amounts: the amount you claim, the amount approved, and the payout amount.

Claim details you submit

• The reason for your claim, the incident date, and the incident location. The incident location is a free-text description you type (for example a village, lot, or district). The app does not access your device GPS or physical location.
• Evidence photos of the damaged crop that you take or select and attach to your claim. These are stored as private files against your claim.

Technical information

• A push notification token (the native Firebase Cloud Messaging token on Android or the Apple Push Notification service token on iOS) so we can send you notifications about your policies and claims.

We do not collect:

• Your location. The app requests no location permission and uses no GPS or maps. "Incident location" is plain text you type, not your device location.
• Crash or diagnostic data. A crash-reporting component is included but is disabled in the published app, so no crash, diagnostic, or device identifier data is collected through it.
• Audio or voice recordings.
• We do not use advertising, ad networks, or third-party analytics, and we do not sell your data.

04 · Demo mode

The app includes a self-contained demo mode that uses sample data only. In demo mode the app makes no network calls and collects no personal data.

05 · How we use your information

• To authenticate you and manage your account.
• To show you your insurance cover, claims, and payout status.
• To let you file insurance claims and attach evidence so your insurer can review and decide them.
• To send you push notifications about your policies and claims.

We process this information to provide the insurance service you are enrolled in and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to insurance claims.

06 · How we share information

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for advertising. We share information only as needed to operate the service:

• Your insurer / the AXK network operator, so your claims can be reviewed, decided, and paid. This is the core purpose of the app.
• Google Play Services and push providers (Firebase Cloud Messaging / Apple Push Notification service), used to distribute the Android app and deliver push notifications. The push token is shared with these services to deliver notifications to your device.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to comply with insurance and financial regulations.

The app uses no Google Maps and collects no location data, so no location is shared with any party.

07 · Data security

All data exchanged between the app and our backend is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Claim evidence photos are stored as private files associated with your claim. Your session credentials are stored in the app's protected local storage on your device.

08 · Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your account data, except that insurance claim and financial records may be retained for a longer period where required for legal, regulatory, or insurance record-keeping reasons.

09 · Your choices and account deletion

• Profile photo is optional.
• Push notifications can be turned off in your device settings.
• Account deletion (in-app): open Settings → Delete account, then confirm by typing DELETE. This requests deletion of your account from our backend and removes your device's push token. See the account deletion page for full steps.
• Account deletion (web): you can also request deletion from the account deletion page or by emailing rovifyinc@gmail.com.

Deletion is subject to the retention of claims/financial records described above.

10 · Children

AXK Shield is not directed at children and is intended only for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11 · Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app where appropriate.
